South Street Energy’s has established a new embedded network for ASX listed Globe International at its corporate headquarters in Port Melbourne.
Globe is an internationally recognised street wear and skate board brand with products sold in more than 100 countries worldwide.
As part of Globe’s increasing commitment to taking positive action on climate change and sustainability, 650 commercial solar panels were installed with a combined capacity of 265kW expected to produce 342,000kWh annually and offset 366 tons of carbon emissions.
Remaining electricity requirements are purchased from renewable sources.
The embedded network services tenanted businesses within Globe’s building, including cafe, mechanic, barber shop, gym and film production offices, so that they are also using 100% sustainable electricity while creating an incentive for all businesses to use power efficiently.
