“Good things come in small packages.” And so it is with our latest embedded network called The Paddock in Castlemaine, Victoria.

By far our smallest embedded network, this eco friendly development consists of eight residential units, one of which is a shared community house, each with its own 6kW solar generation system.

The Paddock strives to create a new standard for sustainable living that fosters a sense of community and closer connection to nature with dedicated community spaces for shared food gardens, orchards, planted wetlands, small wetlands and native gardens.

It is planned to add a further 18 residential units in two separate stages commencing in mid-2020.

Former Premier of Victoria, Mr Steve Bracks, officially opened The Paddock and congratulated its founders, Neil & Heather Barrett for their inspirational vision.

South Street Energy also extends its congratulations to Neil & Heather and welcomes residents of The Paddock to this exciting new sustainable community.
